Torah Study - Vayeshev

Parashah Vayeshev shifts focus to Joseph, whose dreams of future authority stir jealousy among his brothers. Their resentment leads to betrayal, as Joseph is sold into slavery and taken to Egypt. Despite injustice, God’s presence remains evident as Joseph rises in Potiphar’s house, only to be falsely accused and imprisoned.

Even in prison, Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams sets the stage for future elevation. The narrative is one of hidden providence -- where what appears as suffering is part of a greater unfolding plan. The parashah reminds us that God’s purposes often move beneath the surface of human events.
